# Truth Bear (真相熊)

> A small data service that reports a fact, its official source, and a timestamp — then leaves the
> decision to you. It does not predict the future and does not give advice. When it has no verifiable
> source for something, it says so and does not charge for that answer.

not a regulated financial product. USDC (via the x402 protocol) is a payment method only — Truth Bear
is not an exchange and never trades or custodies assets for anyone.

Every paid record ships with a `record_hash` the buyer can recompute offline, plus the official source
URL and the time the reading was observed.

## What it answers

- Official readings from public agencies (river gauges, air quality, power-grid stress, crop and
  drought conditions, shipping chokepoint transits, regulatory filings) normalised into one shape.
- Each answer names the issuing agency and the exact time of the reading, so the buyer can go and
  check it against the agency directly.

## Pricing

- Testing features are free until 2026-10-31 — no card, no sign-up, no auto-charge, no subscription.
- A promotional discount then applies until 2026-12-31.
- After that: pay-per-use, one-time purchases only. Nothing auto-renews.
- If a fact cannot be verified, the buyer pays nothing. That stays true after the free period.
- Two rails: USDC on Base via x402 (for AI agents and machine callers, no account needed), or a
  single card / Apple Pay / Google Pay / PayPal payment billed by the Merchant of Record (Paddle.com).
